Doyle For Norfolk Campaign Update-3-9-18

Good Afternoon!

Another milestone has come and gone this week. This past Tuesday, March 6, was the final day to submit paperwork for the May 1st election and now the ballot is official – and I am a qualified candidate for Norfolk City Council Ward 2! My name will appear first on the ballot. Ballot order is not based on alpha, rather, it is determined by which candidate submits the proper paperwork first. Glad I submitted my paperwork early!

I have been walking Larchmont the past few weekends and talking with residents. It is always a pleasure to walk with friends and meet new ones. I attended the Park Place Civic League meeting on Monday evening. Norfolk Police Chief Larry Boone spoke to the residents and took some good questions from the neighbors. His engagement with the community is very impressive. I met with the Riverview Village Business Association on Tuesday and learned a great deal about the Riverview area. The new arch is up and final touches underway. If you are heading toward downtown on Granby Street, and cross over the Granby Street bridge, you will see the new arch. It serves as a lovely gateway to Riverview.

I hope to see you at the Shamrockin’ in Ghent this evening!

If you have any suggestions, questions or ideas for me, I would love to talk with you. And if you’d like to walk door to door with me, feel free to reach out.
