A lot has changed in the 31+ years since Courtney Doyle and her husband tied the knot and officially made Norfolk, Virginia, their home. Our city’s become more vibrant, more safe and more diverse. But, Courtney knows, there’s still more left to do to make our city even better.

That’s why she’s running for Norfolk City Council in Ward 2, and why she’s working hard to earn your continued confidence and your vote on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Through her time serving on Norfolk City Council beginning in 2018 and previously serving on the Norfolk School Board, the West Ghent Civic League, and the Norfolk Recreation Parks and Open Space Commission, Courtney has volunteered her time and talent to make our city one she and we can be proud of. She will continue to lean on these experiences to listen to and advocate for Norfolk residents, businesses, and families; while remaining ever-accessible, transparent, and dedicated to doing what she says she’s going to do.

She’ll focus on four very important issues: education, neighborhood safety, flooding and sea level rise, and economic development.

Courtney is a dedicated civic volunteer and employee – she has been with Sentara Health for 27 years, currently serving as the Vice President, Marketing. She spends her time off the clock grilling out in her backyard with her husband, enjoying her two step-sons Patrick and Brendan when they are in town and playing with their dog, Grady. She also loves snagging brunch on Colley Avenue, sharing in the community of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, or swimming, walking and biking.

  • Volunteer, Chrysler Museum of Art (1995-1997)

And her education includes:
