Doyle For Norfolk Campaign Update-4-20-18

Good Afternoon!

Election Day is 11 days away! Please remind your friends and neighbors to vote. I have found that people know the election is in May, but they are thinking it is a little later in the month. The first Tuesday in May happens to be May 1. Thanks to those who have signed up to work the polls for me and know that I will reach out to others so that we have all 12 polling precincts in Ward 2 staffed throughout the day.

This past week was wonderful. I walked door to door in Park Place, Cromwell Farms, Ellsworth, and around the Hague. I attended house parties and I am pleased that these events give voters the opportunity to meet me in person before casting their vote.

I also enjoyed speaking at the Norfolk Commission for Persons with Disabilities meeting on Thursday. This is an informed and engaged group! I also attended the city budget hearing Wednesday evening.

More walking is scheduled this weekend along with a meet and greet. This is the homestretch and each day passes by so quickly.

For those who are going to be out of town or who have voting age children in college away from Norfolk, please encourage them to vote by absentee ballot. And, did you know you can vote at the Registrar’s office now?

To learn more about how to vote absentee, click in the following link that takes you to the Norfolk Registrar’s page online: https://www.norfolk.gov/Index.aspx?NID=706

I appreciate your ongoing support and encouragement.

Have a good weekend.

Regards, Courtne
