Doyle For Norfolk Campaign Update-4-13-18

There are 18 days until the election, which translates to about 432 hours. But, who’s counting? Getting out the vote is my biggest focus. Please share the good news about my campaign with your friends and neighbors and encourage them to vote. For those who are going to be out of town or who have voting age children in college away from Norfolk, please encourage them to vote by absentee ballot. And, did you know you can vote at the Registrar’s office now?

Last week was fun! I attended the Elizabeth River Trail announcement last Friday. Officials announced they have raised $2.6M of the $4M goal to enhance the trail with a variety of amenities at the various trailheads. I walked last Saturday in the rain and reached lots of voters who were home because of the dreary weather. Walking door to door and meeting with business owners renders great feedback. For instance, I have been asked what the city needs to do about removing a boat that is sunk in a marina. I have also talked with folks about how can we make North Colley Avenue more pedestrian friendly.

Many generous friends have hosted house parties and fundraisers. The opportunity to meet new people who live in Ward 2 is invaluable. And, I spoke at the respective civic leagues of Suburban Acres and Colonial Place/Riverview on Monday evening.

Look at my videos online on www.courtneydoyle.com or on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. You will see I am trying to reach voters through online as well as direct mail and many other channels.

Want to work the polls on election day? Just let me know!

Have a great weekend.

Courtney
