Doyle For Norfolk Campaign Update-3-16-18

May 1, 2018, Election Day, is just about 45 days away.  I had a very productive and educational week out on the campaign trail.  I want to commend Mayor Alexander on his excellent State of the City address at The Main last Friday.  It was a robust presentation and demonstrated Norfolk’s strong momentum.

Team Courtney distributed campaign yard signs last Saturday before walking door to door in the afternoon.  Honestly, it is a little surreal seeing my name on these signs.  On Sunday, I attended the Hampton Roads Pride Launch Party at the Harrison Opera House.  Governor Northam and his wife, Pam, attended and many others joined to support Pride 2018 – the large summer event at Town Point Park.

I spoke at the Riverpoint Civic League on our snowy Monday evening. I appreciated sharing my experience and priorities with these engaged citizens.  Additionally, I met with the members of the Norfolk Federation of Teachers and attended the Monticello Village Civic League throughout the week. Life is never dull on the campaign trail.  I should keep a list of….do you remember when…..one being when I helped push a stalled car out of a driveway or another when we found a  lost iPhone through the “Find iPhone” app (this friend lost the phone  while walking door to door with me and we found it 3 hours later at the first house we visited).

Want to walk door to door or work at the polls on May 1?  Please email me and let me know.  Below are some pictures from the week. The greatest picture is of my puppy, Grady, who greets me every night with love and affection.
